In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. (Ps 5:3)
I am very proud of all my children. They have grown into amazing adults, and I wouldn’t change one thing about any of them. But when they were young…
One of my mom-roles was referee. “Mom!” was always followed by some crucial request for justice. I had no safe space to hide. A few times I changed my name and refused to answer until they guessed it. “Rumpelstiltskin” was guessed immediately, but it took them a while to guess when I changed my name to “Dad.”
I’m so glad that God never hides from us. He desires for us to come to Him. The Psalmist said, “Morning and evening I cry out in distress, and He hears my voice.”
Don’t ever think that anything is too trivial to bring before Him. After all, He created the amoeba as well as the Solar System.
