The Mind is an Amazing Thing

Finally, Brothers (and Sisters), whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. (Phil 4:8)

true–not fake or shallow

noble–not frivolous

right–not what is merely convenient

praiseworthy–not critical

With so much negativity in the media  in the news, it is difficult not to dwell on it. There is a lot of good in the world, and a lot of very good people.

Lord, help me to keep my mind focused on these things so that I can become these things.

For such as a man thinketh, so shall he be.

    1. I think this is wonderful. Life has changed radically for me and without a positive support around me, it would be quite difficult to deal with the bumps. Love you very much



  2. The mind is a terrible thing to waste. I believe the mind was created by God for us to be able to communicate with him. We know this when we read Matthew 22:37. To love the Lord our God with all our heart, our MIND, and strength. The mind is the vehicle in which the Holy Spirit guides us to holiness along with increasing our faith in God. Let’s not waste our mind with worrying about so many daily things. Worry is a thing of Satan to pull us away from the promises of God.
